We went and took video of most of the easy Jeep trails in Redbird SRA in Indiana on June 19, 2016. It was about 95 degrees outside... and very dry. Love this place! :D :D :D We only saw one other Jeep the whole time, maybe just a handful of bikes.

I recently came across this thing which adapts your Hi-lift directly to your shackle mount tabs. Yes, there are other ways to Hi-Lift from your shackle mount tabs or shackles, but this struck me as particularly ingenious as it is super simple, and gives you a fully safe mechanical connection to the shackle mount.

It also works with receiver shackle mounts so you can also use it from your receivers. One of those things which once I tried it the first time, I can't believe someone didn't come up with this thing decades ago...

Yah, it was $69 bucks. Their other adapter (DLA) which encompasses the shackle and also gives you a tube lifting surface, is $160 tho... The SAM at $69 is fairly cheap insurance for mechanically connecting the jack to the shackle mount though--it eliminates the problem of the jack slipping from the jack point. It doesn't eliminate the problem of Hi-Lifts slipping from the base, but for one of the two it is a huge safety factor improvement--think one of these should be in just about every Hi-Lift accessory bag...

This is the other adapter, the DLA, which encompasses the whole shackle and gives a tube lifting surface but is quite a bit more expensive.

Camped and kayaked at Shakamak and then headed over to Redbird SRA for a little bit. Will post up some more videos as I finish them

rock hill behind the rock garden. This is fun to go up and down with a stock-ish JK
