Barnwell Mountain--Gilmer, Tx

These were a few years ago with my 01 TJ and one of my friends in his 05 unlimited. Barnwell mountain has trails for any rig, from stock to crazy modified. Great camping too!

it's a really fun area, lots of trails to keep you going all day. Unfortunately it is close to a 5 hour drive for me. Most of texas is all private lands, they need to open more offroad parks!

Barnwell is a great place for wheeling. I went out with a few work buddies a few months ago. I'll post some of our pics next.

Looks like a nice place. They've got the trails rated?

Yeah, they rate all the trails, makes it nice so you don't go down something and not be able to get back out. A lot of tight trails out there. The place is huge too. we were only running 2 inch lifts with 32 tires, and only went up to 3 diamond trails.

They have camping, can't remember how designated they were. They were spread out too. we had this whole area to ourselves.
