Shots from by the creek on the old family homestead in Northern Kentucky. I played and fished in that that creek as a kid and I now own the property.
The pool in the creek is called the "spring hole". According to family legend, there are seven (7) springs in that hole of water. During a severe drought in the 1890s, that was the only source of water for miles around.
The shot in the upper right corner is at the bottom of the logging road down to the creek that was just opened up. The pic is deceiving because that road is actually a 100-110% grade back up to the highway.
