first time at the river in 2010

We have an awesome collection of rivers in and around Tahlequah, the main one being the Illinois. It is beautiful and the river gravel can be fun and actually tuff to taverse, the gravel is deep and loose at times.

yes we sein(sane?) for minnows.. those sneaky brownies know when it is a foreign minnow. we only caught two but we only tried for thirty minutes. the river is still really cold and beer needed to get drank and if you get caught in the river with your jeep it is a major major fine and a misd. charge. not worth it plus I do not like to damage it. want my kids to enjoy it as well
