Hit the Rubicon yesterday.

Nice run to make and the weather was great at 60 and sunny:

The Tahoe (eastern end of the trail):

Oh, and I didn't have the guts to make it over the snow gatekeeper (especially in the Hundai Santa Fe I was driving). I think ole Budget would have had some issues when I returned after trying the snow pile!

Maybe this summer...in my jeep!

you should have tried it.

I bet pulp fiction wasn't the first time Bruce Willis had a ball gag in his mouth.

Just reading that sign makes my butt pucker.

I saw a video on cable a couple of weeks ago with those guys in the test Jeeps running that trail in the snow...Talk about some driving. My hats off to those guys.

It ain't no fun unless you get some of it on you.

No road to rough

In a rental car

Yeah, I should have tried...but besides the zero approach angle with the Hundai, the 2" of clearance and about zero flex, the only way to get over that snow bank would have been to ram it thru...

No off switch for the airbags made me nervous!
