Hole in the Rock Trail

I ran this epic trail 8 years ago while in college and this is what got me hooked on Jeeps. So I put together another run this last weekend with family. Here are a few pictures of our trip. We all have agreed that the trail has become more difficult than it was 8 years ago.

We left from Provo, Ut on Thursday morning and headed out on Saturday, so it was a total of 2 nights. I think that is the minimum for that trip and even 3 nights might be a little nicer. I wanted to run the Rincon trail while we were there but with 2 nights we just didn't have enough time.

I see you had an off road trailer with you. I was thinking of bringing my tentrax off road trailer. Di you make it to the end with the trailer? If so how long did it take to get to the end of the trail with the trailer?

We only pulled that trailer in to the Junction where the old trail meets the new. We got there around 7:00 Thursday night. Friday we ran to the end of the trail and then back to the junction for night 2 at base camp. But the first section is now a lot tougher than it used to be and the trailer did great. I don't see any reason the trailer couldn't have made it through to the end.
We actually built that trailer ourself since the last time we ran this trail and this was a good test for it. I am actually working on a video of the trip and will post a link to that when I get it finished. We are also kicking around the idea of making more of these trailers to sell based on how well it performed on our trip. Let me know if you end up taking your tentrax through to the end I would be curious to see how it does.
