Here are the only 2 pics of my daughter and I running Freeway Ridge near Lake Isabella CA. It was only my second real 4x4 trip and man did it scare the crap outta us! Had a blast and my stock YJ did everything without having to be tugged, well that is until the end, wasn't paying attention and got high centered in some deep tire tracks. Got pulled all of 10 feet!
The first rock climb after a 1/4 mile on the trail and the Can Opener!
No your not that far are you. Except for 31's my Jeep is stock as well so I would not worry too much. It's all in line choice and I was following 2 others and they always gave me good info and never once steered me wrong.
Like I said in my post, it was only my second real 4x4 trip and it was a challange to say the least!
ROFL! Yea I feel you no AC is INSTANT DEATH! Haha I am stock as well. I have 31s too they definitely do the job for now. I'll be gettin a lift soon. You think I'll need bigger tires?
It all depends on how big a lift you want to go with. I plan on a 2 1/2" lift for the 31's but if you went with a 4" lift you could go with 33's. It's all up to you.
Sounds great but I have plans I can't get out of. My friend recently passed and his sister is coming from out of state and we have to deal with his estate. Bummer.
It sucks for sure as he was such an active guy, he had 10 bikes, 2 cars, and 2 gliders and was always doing something adventure related. He will be missed by all that knew him.
There will always be another time to get together, you all have fun Sunday and keep the rubber in the dirt!
Thanks man, he was. I do have one regret, I never got a glider ride! LOL
I was always busy with things I could not get out of. Oh well that's life huh.
