Well, my wife didn't like the TJ I bought her from the day she got it, and it was a money pit...and I was getting tired of "armstrong-steering" and no power brakes out on the trails with the CJ, so we took her TJ and my CJ in to trade on a JK. It moved my garage queen YJ into the new trail rig and she got a nice JK...which she likes. It's nice in the YJ to have power steering and power brakes. Your not as tired at the end of the day!!

She cried when we traded the CJ...she felt nothing for the TJ...hahaha!!

It was all re-built from the ground up mechanically (transmission, transfer case, front and rear axles, steering, engine, etc.). I was gonna take it in the shop and re-do the body and paint, which wasn't that bad, just to finish it...Oh well. I still have another 1972 CJ5 frame with V8 engine mounts ready to be built in the back of the garage...

Thanks again for the comments!!

Here was the last pic of it before I traded it...

Well I guess having a JK and a YJ eases the pain a lot

I drive a TJ now and love it, but hope to drive a CJ one day. I like the old ones

My first jeep was a cj5. It reminded me of the old boat saying. The 2 happiest days in my life is when I bought it and then when I sold it.
