Here's a few pics from that album. The yellow '85 CJ with historical plates was driven by a guy named Chris who I met at 4WP about a month ago and hooked up with on Saturday afternoon. That dude pushed what I though my limits were. Thanks Chris for showing my what my Jeep can do!

Naturally this was a lot steeper than it looks in the pic

Chris with his sweet CJ. It has a front locker on 32s

We did mostly rocks but the back woods trails are very muddy.

One of the many rock trails

We both made it up this with a little strategic rock piling to help.

Chris got hung up on his spring but backed right off and took a different line

Probably my favorite shot

This descent was friggin' steep. A rubi I wheeled with Sunday made it up after a few tries

Some of the woody trails were very tight - and we have the new pin-striping to prove it

Jason and his '02 Range Rover were no slouches either. What do you think this limited edition Rhino LR must have cost?

This Rubi LJ (in front of my LJ) saved my butt on Sunday when I got wedged on a rock climb. He winched my rear end over and with a few rocks stacked I was free. Then he got high centered on the same spot and hooked to me and winched off the rock. I need a winch.

This is where 4 Wheel and Off Road editor Rick Pewe' broke his Ultimate Adventure rig last year.

Like I said, some of the trails are pretty tight. We passed on this one.

This is a shot from upper rim. This is all JeepSkool. 1500 acres

This one's for Jess

And a scenic shot of the lighthouse

I will have more pics up soon. I have to upload some cell phone shots that came out okay and I'm supposed to get some emailed to me of me stuck from the wife of the guy in the Rubi.

Here's a few cell phone shots. My camera battery died and I all I had left was the cell, but they didn't come out too bad.

JeepSkool July 4th 2010 cell pics pictures by gusdaddy - Photobucket

A few samples from this album:

I have to start with the owner of JeepSkool's JK on 40s or 42s with D60s. Very LCG build.- This is Kelly's (Robocon):

Stopping to take a ...break. Saturday was mostly rocks. Sunday things got muddy.

This guy had 37s and F&R lockers. He made it but the guy behind him needed some help. I wouldn't try this without a winch.

Some of the ruts get a little deep

The Rubi I was wheeling with had just rescued me and I made it the rest of the way then had to let him hook up his cable to my rear d-ring as an anchor so he could winch himself off a rock he high centered on. Proof that you never want to wheel alone.

The Rubi made this hill climb, but it wasn't easy. I came down it which was wild enough.

This sweet Willys belongs to one of the trail leaders

The rock faces are awesome

I think I might paint it to look like this

During the orientation for first timers the owner of JeepSkool - Kelly - makes it very clear that his place is all about the kids. He expects everyone to honor that which means no foul language around them at all. It is totally a family friendly park. Zero tolerance for bad behavior. He's a very cool guy.

I forgot to mention that I gave just about all my skid plates and my rocker guards a workout. Even my stock bumpers took some hits. The front one got a little tweaked but no biggie. My front and rear Warrior diff cages especially saved my butt when I came down hard on some big rocks. Here's a shot of the front cage a little dinged. Better than my diff cover getting torn up and ending the day!

My Skid Row engine skid paid for itself as well. You can't see it too well because of the mud but it has several scrapes:

Just a few aftermath driveway shots. I don't think I'm going to have time to clean it until Saturday.

Cool, cool, cool! Looks like you had a blast! That paint job would be really easy and cheap if you just fill up some nice ruts with the color of your choice..... Just sayin'

It was a blast!

Doesn't look good for RC though. The visitor control guy is off all that week before and I'm the only other second shifter that knows how to do it so they already have me scheduled. Since I can't get Friday off it wouldn't be worth the drive.

Here children you see a young jeep in it's prime flexing and marking it's territory. This is to attract spectators in hope to find a mate.
