Last Dollar Road

Near my home in Ridgway Colorado. Took this trail in late September.

The San Juan Mountain Range

In the John Wayne movie True Grit, filmed here in Ridgway, this was the Ross place.

One road goes up and into Telluride, the other to Sawpit. I took the one to Telluride.

You drive through some tree groves as the road climbs to over 10,000ft

And up through pine forests.

Several places to pull off the road and enjoy the scenery

Aspen groves heading down

On top of the world

Got sheep?

End of the road. A fun easy drive.

That is on our list to run when we go back next summer. Was told it was a great drive to stop and find a picnic spot. Thanks for the pics.
