My first trail fun

Well, two Jeeps and 19 years later, I hit my first trail. Not likely what anyone here would call hard core wheeling, but it was the perfect speed for me and my Jeep. I headed up 89N from Truckee, and then west to Webber Lake, Jackson Meadows Reservoir and Bowman Lake. The forest roads were pretty rocky and rutted, with lots of dust (after the pavement ran out....) Saw some great scenery, and snapped a few pics:

A big thanks to JIMBOX for pointing me in the right direction for my ride today. I had a blast, and am looking forward to my next chance to get out on a trail with the Jeep.

Thanks for looking!

Rich

Yea, I'm glad you had a good time, too bad you didn't have time to fish in(pic) Bowman lake, the fishing isn't easy, but there are some BIG BROWNS, there and DEEP spots !!

Jackson Meadow Reservoir is still about 15' higher than last year at this time and the fishing has been hit/miss, but still beautiful--camping population in the campgrounds has been low also !!

As you now know - it's not about how hard core the wheeling is - it's just about getting out and enjoying yourself in nature and driving your Jeep off the road somewhere you like. It could just be a dirt road that leads to a lake you like to sit at. It's all good!

Thanks for the comments.

Gus, you are right, and my ride was perfect for me!

I will have to find a way to better secure the USB connection on the back of my stereo, though. Kept rattling loose as i bumped down the road!
