Pics of Jerry's replacement rig...

A member of the TJ forum asked for some photos of the new Jeep... these were all taken near Split Mountain in the SOCAL desert. Heart Attack Hill, Jeep Squeeze, and Sandstone Canyon.

Edit: Whoops the one in the trees was taken two weeks ago in the Big Bear mountains of SOCAL in Holcomb Valley campground the day after running the John Bull trail.

You know what I love about your rig Jerry?

Its simple, mildly upgraded and wheeled as hard as many more "extreme" rigs.

Take it as a compliment. Your Jeep gets wheeled harder then many rigs that are stretched, hi lines, coil overs, crazy three links and d60's! You remind me of a friend that drag races his Camaro, he won Chevy Super Street last year and is naturally aspirated. He could upgrade to forced induction but loves it in its simpler form!

Nice job! Keep it going Jerry.

That thing is BA. How about a list of some of the mods? Like someone else said, it looks very minimal yet functional. I'm digging the blinker lights beneath the head lights. Kind of a CJ throwback.

Since you linked this in my thread of course i had to check it out!!! im digging it! What t-case skid is that?? Also how much flex are you getting out of those OME shocks. I got the Rancho 9000xl adjustables and feel like they are limiting me. But i think thats going to be the case with stock shock towers.

Is that the 2nd replacement after your jeep was stolen, or the only one? I thought you got a jeep that looked different from that.

I love the bottle opener on the side. I have one that says "federal jacks" and mom won't let me bolt it on...

In the link the person posted it has his specs and it says he has 15x8 wheels with a 5x5.5 bolt pattern and I thought that was weird and wanted to know if there was a benefit

Oh I missed that. I would guess that when the axle shafts were upgraded he went with 5 on 5.5. I dont know if there is any actual advantage to it though.

Wow thanks guys I didn't know that there were so many responses as I'm stuck in toledo ohio after visiting Fram.

The bigger wheel bolt pattern is due to the Warn front hubs that only come with the larger bolt pattern.

Surprisingly, the only minor body damage caused by driving through that notch in the rocks was to the rear fender flares.

I sure hope I get home tomorrow morning, my flight hpme out of toledo was canceled earlier this afternoon.
