Excellent pics. Looks like the sand is flatter with nice huge rollers as opposed to Glamis. I might have to drag my shit out there some day and hit those dunes.

Dragging shit from Phoenix to Pismo will leave one looooong skid mark.
Nice pix and vid! I'll have to get up there sometime soon too.

Air down and 2WD will get you anywhere out there. Its a great place to run some speed and they have ATV rentals on the beach. I've done that more than a few times.

Pismo is awesome i go at least once a year. that section of the woops was pretty mild they can get pretty bad/big in pismo too.
I cant wait to see the go pro vid. we ran about a 1/5 mile of woops with it on.
if you dont have some aggresive higher end shocks dont even bother with the woops. your just gonna loose control or break something.
you can do alot in 2wd aired down in pismo but its pretty easy to get stuck in 2wd.
the guy who buried his wrangler didnt try to hard the sand was pretty loose and he ran out of momentum at the top of the dune. rather then back down he kept going foward until the sand stopped him.

Yeah, I run in 2wd in Glamis most of the time unless I get hammered on a break over then I'll pop it in 4hi.
I know Jeremy from RK did a photo shoot with his Tundra out there after Pamona last year and said he had a blast. It's honestly not too stupid of a drive for me.

Great stuff ... spent many a summer day at Pismo as a kid. Looks like it would be even more fun as a grown-up kid

Heres a Go Pro vid a guy made from our group. Hes running a long travel linked yota on paddles. My jeep is in the vid following him. the two guys that pass us in the vid have some sweet rigs. the ranger is a Super charged 4.0 with dixon long travel front and deavers in the rear. the VW baja bug was running shitty front suspension but double by pass fox shocks in the rear with a VERY built turbo charged ??? CC motor. he was running 22 lbs of boost in the vid with paddles. Pismo 6-09 on Vimeo.

Been to Pismo several times and always rented from one of the ATV places.
Now that I got ours, Im thinking about going back up and playin as its only about a three hour run from me to get there.
Out of curiousity, what pressure do you recommend to air down to with stock
tires?
Thanks.
