Playing around in Big Bear

My camera is on the frits and I think it just killed my 50 plus pictures. However, here are 3 I was able to rescue..

Decided to head up to bear with a friend who just bought a TJ. We threw the girls in the rigs and headed out for some first time 4x4 drivin for him. He did really WELL! If anyone wants to do this, I recommend going to the discovery center and getting a FREE trail map. Its very in depth and gives you a broad scope of whats out there. There is a trail I have been going to for awhile labeled 2n09, its very easy, dont even need 4x4 to be on it, however there are a TON of pirate trails that shoot off of it with varying difficulty! 2N09, 3N10, 3N16 where the main trails we played on but again there are some AWESOME hill climbs on some of the pirate trails. there is also a decent amount of old Gold mines up in this region! They are very cool to check out but just dont get to close!

THe first picture is us entering 2N09, very easy trail its basically a graded dirt road, 2nd picture is a place we stopped for some lunch on the trail, the 3rd picture doesn't do this thing justice, but its about a 150 yard hill that is deeply rutted with slick rock and tree roots everywhere, I was a little nervous for my first time wheeling buddy but he did well and made it uP!

Cool pics. Big Bear is such an awesome place to play. Too bad so far for me at $4 + a gallon. Used to be up there all the time when it was less than $2.
