some flex and some woops

took the jeep to a small local spot...flexed on a rock to show off the soa

then cruised around in 2wd through some small puddles and one got real deep, real fast. got stuck had to be pulled out and tranny got water in it. damn

ive been finding a reason to dump the 32rh i guess that was my calling

now for the oops

motor stayed running for the 15 mins i was in there...volt meter dropped down to 9 volts but when i got pulled out it went back up to 14 and was fine for the 30 min drive home..however the tranny didnt like me very much. got stuck in first got it to shift and was stuck in overdrive..gonna try to flush it out put a new filter in and pray its still good. if not its swap time

Damn. This is why deep water crossings/mudpits don't sit well with me. Sorry about the damage, but the SOA looks good!

Did you drain the water out of the trans and try to refil with new lube? If it just got water inside and did not do anythign to the interior, you should be OK. Good luck. Looks like you had fun up to the oops moment.

i did drain the water out and then flushed through two quarts with the pan still open..then i left it dripping for a day. came back the next day and bolted the pan and put it new fluid..went to drive it and it was still not shifting right

Damn, water that low knocked it out? thats crazy, I mean the tranny would be submerged a good 4 inches or so lower than that too, sucks big time. well at least when you change the fluids, be sure to run some longer breather cables for the next one! looks like a fun day otherwise though!
