I drove out to the Florida Fish & Wildlife reservation near Titusville, FL. Finally got the Jeep out on it's first 'trails'. Not exactly rugged or anything too exciting, but still a nice day out with the top off! Good place to get 'lost' for a few hours. It's very peaceful and lots of wildlife. Next time, I'm definitely bringing my nice camera!
I used to go there when I lived in Port St John. Great place! Moved down to Jensen in 08.
It's a rare spot to find here in Central FL. I've always done a lot of hiking, which if you look hard enough, there's a good amount of decent trails. However, I'm having a really hard time finding anywhere to bring the Jeep out to during days I just can't drive 2+ hours away. This place was a great find!
Went back out a few times after this to go through all the trails there. I have officially seen all the trails open to the public in this conservation area. This past weekend, We went through the less traveled trails that were very wet from all the rain and gave us some new obstacles to get through. It was a blast! Down one of those overgrown paths, we spotted a very healthy adult bobcat. That was definitely a huge highlight for me as we rarely spot them in the wild here. They're very skittish. Can't wait to get off the pavement again!
