Today's Moab Pics

Did the Arches Park and Tower Arch Trail yesterday with Barrie & Bob & Judy, Very nice & scenic.
Today did Long Canyon & Rainbow Terrace. Great scenery & some fun spots.

I just bought the Moab Trail Guide Book by Charles A. Wells. What a great book. His attention to detail is amazing. We never would have ventured that far out in the desert without it. It's almost like he is leading the way in that White TJ of his. Complete with pics, maps, odometer readings & waypoints! What a great backcountry tool.

Near Tower Arch

Long Canyon

Pucker Pass

Rainbow Terrace

Thanks Bro,
Ya those trails are pretty cool. We ran into a small herd of Big Horn sheep in Long Cnyn. They looked like youngens. It's awesome to be out & about now. We ran into 1 Mango Tango Unlimited in Long Canyon & noone on the Rainbow trail.
Wished you & Jeff & Julie could have been there with us.

What about that Moab Diner?? We ate there for Dinner on Tues & Breakfast this morning. Great people, food, service & prices. Their Sweetwater fried potatoes were the bomb. Super place!!

The Moab Diner is my favorite place to eat, I have at least breakfast there most days.

Ya, it was a blast. If you came out I'm sure it would be a great adventure. There are so many different trails, it is easy to find just what you're interested in. How does your jeep do on the freeway?

unfortunately, my jeep spends most of its time on the freeway commuting to work and school. she rides smooth since she's stock with no lift. haven't driven on trails for a year or so, but im gettin the urge whenever i browse the forum

Well, it's great that it does so well on the freeway in case you decide to go on a long trip. There are so many beautiful places & trails that you can do in a stock jeep. Mabey just needing a tug or two throughout the day.

If you ever head over let me know, we would love to hook you up with the Moab clan, (Julie, Jeff, Barrie, Bob & myself)

Take care

Thanks Yall!!
It was fun & this sounds wierd, but when we lost the trail & had to get out of the jeep & scout was one of our favorite parts of the day. Took us about 20 minutes to finally get back on track! It was on the slickrock, no black marks or tracks of any kind. The tracks we found in some sand were of other lost jeepers, they lead right up to the edge of a cliff!

Thanks very much for those pics!

Moab has been on my list since way before I bought my Jeep in November, but since I've been cruizing forums and you tube, all I see is Crazy Moab that I would not subject my brand new Jeep to. It's really great to know that there are fun scenic trails my gf and I can enjoy!

So where is a good place to stay when we go out there? We're coming from Central Coast CA, so we'll stay overnight in Vegas on the way, but are there good places to stay that are close to the park? Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks, Terry

No problem!

Moab has a plethora of motels. Just google them & your price range & reserve asap. Google moab cabins. If you bring your own bedding you can stay for less than a motel room in a private cabin. Kinda cool.

Oh, and if you're old like me, you gotta see Louie Anderson at the Palace Station in Vegas. We went for Thanksgiving & he was worth every penney.
