Trails in foothills of NC?

Hey gang. First off, thanks to everyone for a warm welcome to the forum & world of Jeep ownership. As a first time Jeep owner, I am looking forward to every bit of the experience, and am completely hooked only one week into owning my first Jeep. I am curious if there is anyone on this board in the foothills of western NC that knows of good trails that would be a suitable ride for a first trail ride for me, the wife, & the kids. Our Jeep is a 2000 wrangler with a 2" lift, 31.5's, and the 2.5L w/ a 5 spd. Thanks in advance!

Not sure where you are, but if near the triad, try Triad4wd club. Google it. Great group! I work, like, always, so haven't connected with them for a while, but they do runs all the time. (I live outside W-S)

Welcome!!

Thanks guys. We live in Morganton, abt 45 east of Asheville. My wife's best friend lives in W-S, so it would be cool to try to hook up with another Jeeper the next time we are down there to see her.

I live on the TN side of the TN/NC border. Yesterday I drove to the NC border on Hurricane Gap. I found some cool little trails. I was by myself with my 5yo son so I didn't venture off too far. Here's some pics. Maybe we could meet at the top. I have some other Jeepers too.
