Turkey Bay 8/7, 8/8 2010

Met up with Barrie in Maine and did some wheeling at Turkey Bay. I've been riding there my whole life but this was the first time in a Jeep. Also got to meet Terry and family (Gate53). Good times, and I learned a lot about my Jeep's capabilities. Can't wait to go again!

My personal favorite, taken by Barrie (I love climbing hills):

Terry should have some pictures and also some video to post here as well.

You better make it next time, or else! I mentioned coming up there to Barrie but he had to leave by noon today to go back to Russellville so we couldn't make it work. I want to come up sometime though.

Fixed the only damage I received this weekend today while I was cleaning it out and waxing the exterior. I let the door get away from me once and the footman loop on the driver door was bent. I straightened it back out and will be more carefull next time I open the door on a down hill grade.

Hey Ageless... thanks for the pics! Looks like fun! Wish you could have been with us at Interlake this last trip. We went on some trails that were quite the butt-puckerers. I continue to be amazed at how well our little, barely modified Jeep just eats up those trails. Looking forward to the next time trailing with you at either Turkey Bay or Interlake!

Ahh...Jeeps doing what they were born to do. Great pics! I love that winding V notch trail. Looks like you better be paying attention on that.

It really is Rich I love living just a few minutes away. These are all in the offroad park. The ORP is in the area Land between the Lakes of KY and TN. there are some great trails that run all over the LBL area. The off road park (Turkey Bay} has miles of trails and you can make your time there as easy or as challenging as you want it. Where you are is somewhere I plan on going with my Jeep one day. Go through there on occasion in my truck, but I would like to get offroad with less than 18 wheels.

It was a great time. I agree with your comment about the scenery too. Although I'm sure Cali is beautiful too.

You know I had to post up the pics Trey! (Or it didn't happen ) Wheeling with you guys at Interlake is definately on my short list of things to do. I also look forward to you guys coming down to TB. I've been re-assigned at work to a different area so my hours are probably going to pic up for a while. (Saturdays included ) but we'll see what we can work out. I bought a year pass to TB and I fully intend to get more than my moneys worth from it!

Thanks Gus. It was a combined effort on the pics between Barrie, Terry and myself. You should come down sometime.

Take 'em OFF Josh, then you won't have to worry about it

I know, I know. But then the inside gets all nasty. I know I'm developing a reputation because Sunday when we had to cross a little bit of mud, we stopped and Barrie took a picture of my muddy tire.
