Turkey Bay Visit 3/19/11

Hey Everybody,

Turkey Bay has been closed for several weeks due to rain and bad weather. It opened saturday so Ageless Stranger and myself along with 5 other jeeps hit the trails. It was drier that expected but AS did get "Mud on the tires" and Brad Paisley would say. We also had a XJ drop off in a nice little hole.

Here are some pics and a video will be up soon for your enjoyment! I am happy to say the good stuff did not get filmed because I was in the jeep!

Yep. It was not a graceful landing either. He didn't care much. It had been hit hard on the passenger side rear quarter. Looks bad. Now the fender matches. He had to zip tie his grille on about 15 min. after we started. I think it did pretty good through the day. It needs a locker up front.

First off - Welcome to WF!!

Very True. I had a good time. We will have to do that again.

We went off to some pretty hairy stuff after you left. Rick didn't mind getting any scratches either.

That Grand Cherokee surpised me too. Of couser those swampers helped alot. Man they dug.

That's not the girl I saw you at sonic with...

On an unrelated note, I'm impressed at the way you shot out the window of your XJ when you were stuck. I didn't see that in person because I was backing up. First time I saw it was on the video, I was like WTF? He totally just got out Dukes of Hazzard style.

Good stuff! What lift is on your Jeep, Ageless Stranger? It has a lot of flex.

This makes you nervous? Seriously though, we pushed it pretty hard Saturday. It was fun, but exhausting.

There's plenty of trails there for everyone. Most of the nasty stuff has a bypass.
