Ok-Have a Jeep where when you turn the engine off the brake lights come on--drains the battery if you're not watching. Any ideas on that?

thanks for the help!

maybe the boost on the brakes goes downn and the pedal depressed just a little bit so the switch is turned on??

make sure if you have powerbrakes that the fluid is full

only thing i can think of though

I haven't really worked on cj's but check that the brake pedal return spring is holding the pedal all the way up and also on many older vehicles the brake light switch is mounted in a way that it hits the brake pedal arm whenever the pedal is all the way up and it might be adjustable, maybe screw it in alittle further.
