A Dana 300 or even a Dana 20 should hold up. You may have to get an adapter depending on the transmission. I would be more worried about the transmission than I would be the transfer case.

probably a dana 18, if you're swapping axles might as well swap the case for a centered rear and use either a 20 or 300 case.

i would rather use the stock transfer case becuase of the drive for the pto. i will probley never use the pto but its pretty cool. i know a guy who has the whole drive line for a jeepster commando include a 225 v6. how much stonger would this driveline be.

The dana 18 is pretty weak compared to the dana 20 and 300, plus its offset limits the axle swap ability, pretty much rover axles, waggy axles, sammi axles, cruiser axles, or a custom built axles.
