B&M shifter question.

I have a friend with a CJ 7 with a Chevy 305 and a 700R4 Trans and the B&M shifter installed. I am hoping that someone with the same set up can let me know the length of the shifter cable. It looks that the cable may be too short and we just want to get a rough idea before running back to the parts store if the cable is good. The current cable we have is 5'. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Jeff
