Help brakes

I have a 79 cj7 that i have been working on the brakes for sometime now i have replaced every thing in the rear except the drums and backing plate . I have done axle upgrade to a one peace new brakes and hardware new cylinder and my passenger side wants to keep locking up i have removed the adjusting spring and bracket but it is still locking up anything ……………help…………

The drum is probably warped, causing the brake to grab. Try switching it to the other side and see if that wheel locks up instead.

You didn't get the self adjusters swapped from left to right during your rebuild? That would cause the adjusters to tighten up every time you hit the brakes in normal driving. Most of those pieces are usually stamped with an "L" or "R".

I'm sure you probably already checked that but if you didn't---
