My 86

Picked up an 86. Looking to throw a carb on. I saw a thread about carbs. Looks like a lot of people like the Edlebroc. Which one though? For my six banger. Not looking to upscale to an eight.

Sorry, don't have any information regarding a carb, but love CJs. Post some pics when you get a chance.

well before you go an buy a new carb.. clean out the long tubes in your carter and see how it runs after that.. makes a world of difference. Tired that on my 85 and it was night and day difference.

I have run all three in the last two years. I have an edlebrock on my AMC V8. Very easy to tune. I've run it for a year and haven't touched it since I put it on. I ran the 2100 on the V8 (it was the stock carb). It was a good carb but took more work to keep mine tuned and running right. I had the Webber on a 4.2 and was pleased with it as well but it also takes a little more attention to keep it tuned.
Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
