Need advice on 76 CJ5 power steering?

Hey guys I'm sure this topic has already been brought up and discussed.. But I would like to put power steering/ maybe power brakes(optional) in my 76 CJ5. It's the straight 6cyl. 3 speed, and is all stock, Iv found plenty of discussions about it online but never any solid answers. Also local mechanics tell me " it's not worth the trouble" I don't need power anything myself..but I would like to get my girlfriend in it this summer and she's nervous. Let's just say my passion for jeeps is greater than my mechanics skills but I am a welder and would be able to put some good brackets or whatever in...and that's were I need help!! If anyone has done this or know someone could you post some pics of it all assembled??? In the jeep So I can go off of it or a local mechanic? I'd really appreciate the help I'm just lost right now lol!!!

you need a steering box, pump and hoses..you can adapt stuff off some other vehicles probably, but the easiest would be to buy components made for your model..76's were available with power steering..same thing with power brakes..I bought a new power brake booster/master cylinder combo recent off ebay for just a little over 100 bucks and it works great
