New tub! I don't know what your budget is but piece of mind on rust is always good. If your doing work yourself I would recommend some kind of frame off resto. Frames can always use touch ups and if you have the tub off why not? Prepare to repair and enjoy the ride!

Do you want a show piece or a driver? If the latter, just get some replacement floor pannels, fix what needs fixed, and enjoy.

If you are going for a complete restoration, you will likely find a lot more rust to deal with and may indeed want a new tub. The investment at that point will almost always be more than one can recover by selling. Sometime way more.

Welcome Dustin! I need new floor panels for the '84 CJ too, so I'll follow this thread!

Thanks Duffy, I want a driver. Just gonna replace the floor pans now and have fun. Budget is very tight if course. Is it worth it to try to find used or just order some from quadratech? Thanks
