Only hitting on 1,2, and 6

I just bouth a 1972 cj5 with the 258. It has been sitting for a good while i'm not exactly sure how long. I only gave 800 dollars for it. Sunday i drove it a good bit and it was running really good. I didn't mess with it or anything on monday, but yesterday when i drove it, it was only hitting on 3 cylinders. I have already changed all of the plug wires, plugs, distributer cap, rotery button, and the points. I was just wondering if anyone had an idea of what this problem could be.

Does it miss when up to running temp, or all the time? My coil went bad, and when they get hot they cut out. Ran fine when cold, but missed when hot. Also, check timing and vacuum for your vacuum advance on the distributor. You may want to check your plug wires also, I have had new ones that don't have the same resistance wire to wire...if wires have a big gap in resistance from one to the other, this will screw up your firing also. take an ohm meter and just see if each wire gives you the same reading, or close to it. If you get one with an out of wack reading compared to the rest, that would be a sign. There will be some difference in resistance because of the lengths, but not significant...very slight...see what happens.
