shackles

the rear driver side shackle on my cj7 is folded under, and now it sags all toward that corner of my jeep, how do i fix this?

you can either go and replace just the one and put it back to stock or you can go and use this oppurnunity to lift your cj. either way you go should be back on the road in a few days

what is going to stop the new shackles from doing the same thing as the one i have on it now though??????

hmm well how did it happen, was it just ove time, or did you hit a bump or how?
if it was over the last 25 yrs. then the new shackles should last at least that, but if it was becasue you hit a bump or something along those lines than there may be something out of line in the suspension. i would take a picture of your good side, and then front the same exact spot on the other side take another picture, then put them right next to each other and look for differences besides the bent shackle

I bought the jeep and then had to drive it back home 400 miles home, and when i got home i noticed it. probably the first time in years that it was driven on the expressway that far, so I dont know what to do, everything looks the same.

ok get a shackle put it on usually if it goes on pretty easy your ok if you see things not lining up take a step back and start looking for things that would cause it not to line up
