Starter trouble

Hi all,

I am an older gentle - in my 80's. I am new to the sight and in all honesty, not that good with computers. I am hoping someone can help me with my question. I have a 2000 jeep wrangler sahera 4 cyl automatic. My problem is is my car will not start. When I turn the key, i hear a click - the battery is good, I checked and cleaned all the connections. I checked the relay and the fuse...any thoughts? Do you think the starter is bad..? Thanks for any help..

If you've cleaned the battery terminals and terminal connectors thoroughly, it is very possible the starter is the culprit. I have had the same thing happen, and the starter was bad. If you can get the starter off, or have someone do so, get it tested (under load) at an auto parts store. Several chains will do this for free. Autozone, Advance, O'Reily's, etc.
