Steering box upgrade

I have been looking on this forum as well as on a few others. There is mention of using a '98 dodge durango steering gear box on an xj. I have also read that using a newer yj steering box would be an upgrade over my current setup which is stock for a '78. My question is this what are your opinions for which would be a better setup and also what are the pros and cons of each one?

Will a YJ box bolt right up to a CJ? I have no info on that, but if the Durango box will bolt up, that would be the way to go. A lot more "umph" because they came off a much heavier vehicle with a V8.

A Dodge Durango steering box fit 97 - 02 TJ's. I believe a YJ steering box will bolt up, but the input shaft has a larger OD and different number of splines.
