transfer case

So its almost time to replace my drivetrain . I currently have a straight 6, T-4, and D300. I also have a sbc, sm465 mated to a np205 that is sitting in my garage. i know for certain that im putting the engine and transmission in but i dont know about the transfer case. any ideas which transfer case would be better? Im probably going to be using it 75% on the trails.

The Dana 300 is a great case but I bet the adapter to run it will be pricey...assuming it is available.

I would say it will be cheaper to just swap everything. Not sure how much modification will be needed on the skid plate.

What you gonna do with the t4/d300 your pulling out?

I assume you are swapping for more power?

im not for sure what im going to be doing with the t4 and 300 i'd like to keep the 300 because its a good transfer case and all. Ya the straight 6 is getting pretty old and either needs rebuilt or replaced and then I ran across this setup and couldnt pass it up

I agree to keep the dana 300. They are bringing between $200 and $300 for a good one. The T4 bellhousing is probably worth a $100 and the tranny maybe a little more. Most people want the T5 if they have to choose.

But if it was me I would hang on to it. Seems the # of cj's being restored is growing...and well I'm a parts hoarder.
