Alright...I am trying to get prepared for buying a new set of rims and tires for 12' JK Sport... I am not running any lift and don't know when I will be able to do one, if at all, so my tire wheel decision has to work with the stock suspension.

I have never been the type to put after market wheels on my vehicles as I could never justify the money but the jeep is making me think differently : )

I have been trying to read up on everything there is know about what will fit and what does what, but I'm not retaining it all or getting it all... This is the first time I have looked into doing anything aftermarket with my wheels on any of my vehicles, so I apologize for asking questions I know have been answered...some of it is just very hard to follow...

Here's the skinny...I love the MB72's in black, 15", shown in many posts in this thread. From what I gather, I can buy the below MB72 wheels:

MB Wheels 72 custom rims

Some additonal questions:
-Is there a version of the Duratracs that will fit this rim?
- Is there a version of the Goodyear MTR's that will fit this rim?

-How far out would 33" tires on these wheels stick out past my stock fenders?

-I do not need spacers to run this setup, correct?

-This is probably a dumb questions, but my ride height will go up correct? By about an inch from running the stock 32's on the sport?

-If this wheel size and 33" tires will fit with no rubbing or spacers needed, and a minor amount of tire sticking out past the stock fenders, woulc yu mind pricing out these two options for me?

I know this is a lot. You've been really helpful and I've been trying to figure this out on my own, but tires and wheels make my head spin...pun intended.

thanks!

Thanks for the post. You're on the right track and we'll be happy to help make sure you understand how all of this works before you make your purchase.

To answer your questions....

-The Duratrac is available in a 33x12.50R15: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...yp=Truck%2FSUV
-The MTR with Kevlar is also available in a 33x12.50R15: Ratings, reviews and specifications for Goodyear Wrangler MT/R Kevlar tires

With any 12.5" wide tire they will more or less sit the same as these do. (tires are like shoes, some run slightly wider or narrower than others, the difference is minimal though) the jeep in this picture is lifted but the lift did not change the vehicles axle width so your wheels would sit the same in terms of how far they will stick out:

-You Do NOT need wheel spacers in order to run these wheels.

-Your ride height will increase but only by 1/2 the overall diameter difference between your stock tire and your new tire. (ex. if your stock tire is 32" and you step up to a 33" tire, your ride height will increase by 1/2". If your stock tire is 31" and you go to a 33" tire your ride height will increase by roughly 1".)

Lastly, 33" tires and these wheels will fit your jeep without any lift or leveling kit. However, there is a small chance that your tire may rub your inner fender wheel well and the lower edge of your front bumper when making a U-turn or when the suspension is fully flexed off road. If this occurs it is minor and can be fixed with minor trimming OR leveling the jeep. Many members here run 33" tire without any lift but most end up leveling their jeep. (Teraflex makes a great inexpensive leveling kit and they have a how to video on youtube for the install - Let us know if you are interested in purchasing any Teraflex parts, we now sell them through our mail order division and on our Ebay store.)

For an accurate quote please call TC at 1.888.459.4080 ext 51826. TC has a lifted 2010 JKU and knows the fitment well. He will be happy to explain your TPMS options and tire warranty options as well.

I hope this helps get you started. Welcome to the world of Jeep. You're going to have a blast in it!

-Travis

I have 33"s, had the stock wheels, and rubbed when I turned my wheel fully to the right. I bought new wheels and that fixed the rubbing problem.

appleman - did you have rubbing on the stock wheels with 33's? Or were they another set of aftermarket wheels? Which wheels and size did you by the cured the rubbing?

I like the look of the bigger tires, on a stock suspension, and the 15" rims and I'm not sure I want to go the lift route if I don't have to. Just don't want to get forced into a lift if I spring for wheels and tires that are gonna cause problems off-road with rubbing. The places I have been wheeling haven't required a lift yet so I'm wondering if I want to bother, at least for awhile.

Originally I just had 33s on my stock 17" wheels. Then I went to the Pro Comp 7069s 17x9 and because of the back spacing it cured the rubbing problem. They come in 16s and 17s, but they don't come in 15s.

Yes we do. We don't stock all of the sizes that are available but we can special order anything that KMC builds. Special orders do NOT cost any extra money but they may take a couple days longer for us to get them to you. (average 7-10 days for delivery of special order products that manufacturers have in stock)

I dont want to read all the "what size blaa blaa" stickies becauae it's all a foreign language to me so what would 5 black rockstars with some big mud tires cost that would fit on a 13 Sahara with no lift? If i lift it it will not fit in my underground parkin but would like a more aggressive look and i love the Rockstars. Can you pm me a quote when you get a sec? Thanks in advance.

Thank you guys for answering my questions.I ended up getting a different set of wheels but your service are flat out AWESOME.I ordered my Level8 Strike 5 at noon thursday and the wheels were delivered the very next day.Considering the shipping was free i didnt expect it to be that fast.

Got it installed and turn out 2 of my tires were jacked up...luckily the DT shop had 4 Nitto trail grapplers in stock.

The MB72 is discontinued and is no longer available in the 15x8 size. The 15x8 Level 8 Tracker has taken its place. Here's the link with more details.

15" MB72 alloy Vs 15" Steel wheels

Assuming you have enough lift, the 15x8 Tracker will work with 35x12.50-15 tires.

When are the 15x8 Level 8 trackers in MTB going to be available again? Last I checked they weren't even on the site anymore.
