I have a 3 inch lift.

Discount Tire, you have been amazing, your posts have been very insightful and have answered a lot of my questions. I really like the way the 15" setup looks and have heard so many varying arguments to whether or not you can run 15's on JK's.

All of the shops I've been calling have been saying no, they won't do it, but all of my Jeep friends have been saying yes it can be done.

With that said, I'm in Canada, and when I was browsing your site I noticed you had a few installers close to me, will they be in the know about this? If i take my jeep there will they be able to get all of this done for me?

Again, thanks so much for all your assistance, your service is incredible.

We're glad we have helped clear things up for you. As for installers... I can't guarantee they will know which 15" wheels will fit or not. If you live close to a Discount Tire store (that is near the boarder) they should know about it and can order them in for you but even they may need a little assistance. Not all of these show up in our computer system as fitting. Trust us here though if we say they fit in this thread. They fit. We test fit each one of them.

If you don't live near a Discount Tire location give our mail order division a call. We can ship your new wheels and tires to your door bolt on ready. Shipping is FREE to Canada with pre-paid duties, customs fees, taxes, and brokerage. Anyone here would be happy to work up some quotes for you.

Hi...I have 2.5" AEV Suspension lift with stock COD MW3 17" wheels w/stock 255/75/70 tires & 1.5" wheel spacers...Can this setup accommodate 35" tires? If so, what do you recommend? And would I have issues with rubbing against the rear part of my rock sliders as pictured below? Thanks!

Your factory 17x7.5 wheels are slightly too narrow for 35" tall tires. The approved rim width range for the metric tire size 315/70-17 is 8" to 11" and for the high flotation tire size 35x12.50-17, 8.5" to 11". Wider wheels with a around 4.5" of backspace is the way to go. In-regards to the sliders, a test fitment is the only way to know for sure whether or not the larger tires are going to hit. From the pictures though, it looks like larger tires will rub so you may have to cut them back.

Rim width is measured from bead seat to bead seat (on the inside), not from lip to lip.

The right combination for you will depend on the look you are after and what you need your tires to do for you. Give TC a call at 1.888.459.4080 ext 51826 and he would be happy to help you select the best set-up for your needs. TC has a lifted JKU and is very familiar with the fitments. Just make sure you let him know you are a member here.

Tire size 285/70-17 is the most common 33" tall tire run on the factory 17x7.5 wheels

315's are not approved for the factory wheels. The Factory wheels are too narrow for this tire.
You could run a 295/70R17 but you'll probably want at least a leveling kit for this size. This tire is about 34" tall.

Well I'd prefer 15x9 but 16x9 might be a better bet. I'd really just like to find a gloss black wheel, it seems like most are matte.

What year Wrangler will this set be for? I checked Interco's spec sheet and the Birddog in the 15" and 16" sizes are not produced in the 5-5 JK bolt pattern.
