16" vs 17" pros and cons?

Buying a 16" wheel/rim package would save me $250 over the same package in 17" for my 2013 JKU. Pro Comp 1069's with 33" Dura Tracs.

Other than the obvious savings which is the better way to go and why?

Although 16" is cheaper both ways, they are much harder to find tires that jeeps actually use. 16" is usually a truck size rim, so there's many tires that don't come in sizes you'll want, and they usually come in E rated. I'll give you an example, I wanted to go with 16" but I couldn't find the tire I want (KM2) in 35 in that size. They have all their sizes in 15" and 17" so I went with a 17 instead.

my 2013 had 16X8 rims with 4.5" backspacing and 285/75-16 Toyo Open Country AT2's and my new 2014 has stock 17X7.5" rims and I have 1.5" spidertrax spacers so the backspacing is nearly the same and I have 285/7- 17" toyo Open country AT2's so both tires are 32.8" tall but the 16's looked beefier due to having more side wall rubber. I personally think 33" look better in 16" then 17"
