17" Stock JK wheels on a TJ

I was thinking about picking up a set of stock JK rims off of craigslist and getting spidertrax adapters so they'll fit my TJ and then trading my old 35's and my old wheels towards a set of new 33s that'll fit the JK rims (and have some extra to boot at the local tire shop) I figured for the $200 for adapters and the $150-200 for the wheels off craigslist, around 400 altogether, would be a lot cheaper than trying to buy a set of new 33s for my 15s. I was also thinking I could leave them the grey color or I could paint them black and go black on black. Let me know what you guys think, I am just trying to think of something different.

Tires for 17" cost a lot more than they do for 15's. Adapters aren't everyones favorite. That $400 could go toward the cost of new tires.
