2008 Jeep Wrangler X 2 door

I am trying to get new wheels and tires on my stock 2008 Jeep Wrangler X, 2 Door. I want to go as big as possible on the tires and a little wider on the wheels without a lift. I currently have 17x7 wheels with 275/75/17 tires. I also have 1.5 inch spacers on there so the tires stick out a little. They stick out about an inch past the flares. Should I keep the spacers on there and do 16x8 wheels or take off the spacers and go 16x10 wheels. Also can someone tell me what size tire I can go up too? I think I have 5-127 bolt pattern. Is this the same as 5-5 bolt pattern. Should I be worried about offset on the wheels? Thanks.
