255/80/17 KM2 w/AEV Pinters ?

Hi,

I currently have 255/80/17 KM2 on my stock rubicon tires and was wondering if they will fit on AEV Pinters ? I realize that the pinters are wider than stock? Has anyone done this? Is it "safe" ?

I have an opportunity to purchase a used set of Pinters and wanted to take advantage of this.

My jeep is primarily DD with a yearly trip to MOAB - mostly light trails, I do have a 2.5 AEV lift.

Check out the official BFG specs in the link below. According to this table the recommended rim width range is 6.5-8.5" and the Pinters are 8.5" so they will work just fine. You can usually go safely 1/2" up or down from this range.

thanks for the input, I was looking into that as well but was also wondering if anybody had experience with that and if they had any problems.
