31's are ok for me : ) 33's would be pushing it IMO.

depends on the tire
some tires advertised 32" but are only 31.5 or even 31"
Im getting 31" dick cepek mud countrys this week sometime and I have the 3:07 4.0 5speed so I'll chime in a report

something tells me I shoulda went 32" cause I drive onroad like a grandma but I torture my beast offroad on weekends

I was running 31" MT tires with my 5 sp. I6 3.07s since I bought the Jeep over a year ago. I also have 3.07s. Its also my daily driver about 20 miles each way of highway driving. I just upgraded to 33/1050 AT last week and I have to say I can't tell much difference while driving. Both sets struggled on the highway. It does fine on flat land on a calm day but add a little incline and some wind and 5th gear becomes useless. I guess I am just used to it at this point. I do plan on getting new axles this summer though with 4.10s in them (cheaper than regearing).

I got my 31x10.50x15" Dick Cepek Mud Country's on today
Stock tires were 235's(28") street tires
Onroad I can barely tell the difference
I6 4.0 5speed 3:07 gears
Seems to have the same acceleration
The only differences it it rides slightly rougher but the tires had 45lbs of air
Shouldn't it be 33?

32's do just fine for my 3.07's. I cannot tell a difference in acceleration between the 31's and 32's.
