31's to 33's

Hey all,

so on my heep I have BFG AT's at 31". I put in a full RE 4" lift (and lovee it) and my next step is going to be getting some 33's this month. I'm going to go with something pretty aggressive for rock crawlin and mud adventures. I'm planning on doing 33x12.5 on a 15x8 wheel.

My question is do you think I'm going to need an SYE or CV shaft to go with the bigger tires? I didn't need one with how it is right now, but I'm wondering if before I get the tires, get an SYE and shaft and wait on tires until after.

Any help/ideas/concerns/complaints/links/anything is appreciated!

Tucker

This is my current driveshaft angle:

I don't think the tire size should affect the pinion angle. Looks like you've already got the belly pan dropped, so I'd expect the 4" with the TC drop to be fine, but if you are looking to do some rock crawling, you will probably get tired of getting hung up on the belly all the time and will look to get rid of the drop and possibly go to a tummy tuck in which case you will need the SYE, CV shaft, UCAs, etc.

Thanks Schmo.

I'm definitely planning on doing a tummy tuck and everything this year, but wasn't sure if I should get the SYE and everything before the wheels and tires.

Sounds like Wheels and tires it is!

Thanks!
