33 12.5 17 tire help

ok guys looking for some help on picking out a new set of tires. i have a set of 17x9 wheels with 4.5 backspacing and i have a set of used 50 dollar craigslist bought firestone destination at 285/65/17 tires. These tires were just a temporary fix so i could get my wheels on my rig. Winter is approaching and my search for new tires is harder than i thought. I want to go with a wider tire than the 285 and i think that a 33 12.5 17 tire is exactly what i want. problem is i cant find a tire i like.... my jeep is a dd and i want something that looks as aggresive as possible, is good on the highway, and will give me hopefully 40k or more miles, but i still want it to be able to perform well off road when i need it to. i love the duratracs but the stupid things dont come in the size i want so any thoughts on a tire in this size that would be comparable and similar. THANKS!

There is a tire size calculator I often refer to and 33x12.5x17 is not a size I can choose. Are you sure that tire size is made?

You are right though, Duratrac 285/70R17 tires are 32.7" in diameter and 11.22" wide and the next size up for the 17" tires are the 315/70R17 tires run 34.36" in diameter and 12.4" wide.

When I get new tires I plan on down sizing the wheels to 16" so I can have more choices. I currently run 305/65R17 ProComp Xtreme MT tires that run 32.61" in diameter and 12" wide. Is that more what you are looking for?

this is a size... in metric it is 315/65/r17 but since it calculates to almost exactly 33x12.5x17 they are listed as such

I'm running 305/65R17 Mickey Thompson ATZ Radials. I love the look but feel like they run a little rough on the hwy but then again my JKU is not a daily driver.
