Hey guys, i have 31s with no lift at the moment, would like to upgrade to 33s soon, just woundering what u guys have done with ur lift sizes that looks and works good, suspension, body or both, thanks..
So I have a 06 LJ...could I get away with no lift and switch to 15x8s and 33x12.5s? Need tires ASAP but don't have the funds for a lift yet....what issues will I have on the road if any?
I don't think so! If your wheels had enough back spacing to not rub on the control arms, you might rip off your fender over the first bump in the road.
Anyone know anything about the Skyjacker 4" Sport Lift? I'm finally in need of new shocks and new front tires and since I've been wanting to lift it anyways, I figured it is time. The Sport lift says it comes with the Hydro7000 shocks...not sure what the 'Sport' in the title means. Any recommendations/reviews about this lift would be great. I'm going to go to 33x12.5 tires, can I still use my stock 2003 Sahara wheels or do I have to get new wheels for proper backspacing for these tires??
Thanks for the info!! Two other questions...1) How do you accommodate the 33 inch spare tire without damaging the tailgate? 2) Where at in the Hoosier state? I'm from Evansville originally, went to IU, GO HOOSIERS!
I have Goodyear Duratracs and it fits perfect on the tailgate, I have heard people say it damages it but I have yet to see any abnormal wear after a year. When I upgrade to bigger tires I will get a new rear bumper with oversize tire carrier attached. I'm from East Central Indiana close to Ball State University. I go to IU all the time to see buddies that go to school there, a great place!
hey! i am new to the jeep world. I have a 2011 Wrangler sahara unlimited and am wanting to put 33" tires on. I went into a shop today and the guy helping me said i could put 33" tires on it without having to lift the jeep. He said 33 inch tires is the max size i could go without putting a lift on the jeep. Is this true? im seeing alot of people posting about what type of lifts they should get with 33" tires. If someone could clear this up i would really appreciate it. Thanks
Most ofthe people that need a lift have a tj or older... With the jk ... It had higher fenders... So you can fit them and we can't... Your fenders are equivalent to us putting the high fender kit on or Jeeps
I just bought a 2013 jeep wrangler jk and want to lift it and put either 33's or 35's . Any suggestions on lifts and tires?
