35's w/o regearing

I am out of money for now and here is my question. I have a 2010 2dr handshaker. I have a RE 3.5" lift, bilstein shocks and 35's with 4.5" backspacing. Haven't actually put any of it on yet because my question is will this be possible without rehearing to 4:88 from my current 3:21? Or should I wait till I can afford the regear before I put the these mods on?

Had the 3.21s in ours when we bought it. Put 35s on and had to down shift to 4th or sometimes even 3rd to get up some hills on the highway. Ended up with 4.10s for right now ( until I can afford lockers ) and don't have to downshift very often.

Just figure it's going to run you around $900 (parts and labor) to get your axles regeared. Also, it's a good time to consider, since your differential will be apart, getting lockers installed when you regear. But if you are like me and can't afford lockers right away, then go for just the gears.

How long would it take you to get $900+ for the gears? That should be your deciding factor. If it's another year (God forbid), then yeah, maybe you go ahead and just install your lift and 35s and live with it for now. If it'll be only another month, then maybe just wait. But it's really your call.

I put 33x12.5 tires on 17 inch wheels on my 2010 Wrangler Sport with 3.21 gear ratio and no lift. Definately lost power in 6th gear and some in 5th. 35's would even be worse. Not regearing any time soon so I added Superchips Flashpaq, K & N CAI and MBPR cat back exhausts. Lot's more low end power and a little better in 6th but not much. Still have to downshift to 5th on slight hills and definately on higher hills. Cost of the above around $1,000 so if you are going to regear in the near future I would not go the route that I did. With the 35's and a lift, It will definately be a dog until you regear.

I just dont use the over drive on the transmission. And at 60 mph i am turning around 2100 rpm. With 33's. When i muse over drive transmission wants to shift back and forth alot. Makes for pain in the rear.
