I'm looking for a good MT style tire in a 36" height. I want 37's, but 35's will be better as my daily driver. 36" is my compromise.... (Daily driver but a weekend warrior for 80% rock climbs, 20% mud.)
I've been looking at Toyo MT and Mickey Thompson MTZ. (Toyo says 36, but measures up to 35.3). Any other brands suggestions are appreciated.
What a tire manufacturer calls 35, 36, 37 is a nominal measure. Actual sizing is always different from the size written on tire sidewall. Read the spec sheet. You will probably find a 37 that is actually a 36.
Yes. I'm aware of that. Which is how I knew that the other didn't measure up. I was asking if there was one that someone knew of that *IS* actually a 36".
just start hitting all the manufacturers websites that you are interested in, dig through the specs for the different tires you like. things do vary a lot from all the different brand tires.
