89 yj upgrades

Hello there I have an 89 yj and it is pretty much bone stock except for a set of bfg at's and I was wondering what upgrades u guys would reccomend first

First this thread belongs in the YJ Tech section. As for upgrade that depends on what you want to do with your jeep. Is going to be a daily driver/weekend wheeler or rock smashing crawler? Most people go with a small 4in lift with 33's. This is easy on the budge then a build like I have. Once you go bigger then 33's you need to focus on replacing the rear axle with something better, like a Ford 8.8 or XJ/TJ Dana 44. Also bigger then 33's would require you to regear your axles, or your loosing power, off road abilty, and fuel milage

what is fuel mileage, i've never heard of such a thing? is it something obama has created?

Wheel it for at least a couple months, then you can really assess your wants vs. needs. Your rig is more capable than you are at the moment, find its limit and then start throwing money at it. Have fun and welcome to the endless money pit, addiction, and community.
