Advice: BFG KM2s or Mickey THompson MTZ

I was looking on Zone Offroad and they have a good package deal with lift, tires and wheels. The only problem is that I had my heart set on KM2s, but the package comes with MTZs. Which are better? are the MTZs bad? HELP!

I have MTZ's and absolutely love them. They are a great mud terrain tire and is very quiet on the road. Not to mention they last a long time for mud terrain tires. I drive from Auburn to Atlanta a lot and the ride is great. I cannot hear them which is good. They also look aggressive too.

35 MTZ's here and I have to differ with the previous poster....mine are LOUD. Not sure if he is in a hardtop with doors..but no top no doors hear...and you can hear those babies rolling. I actually happen to like loud tires! As far as wear.....so far so good...I beleive MT just came out with a new ad campaign with the ATZ's that claimed they are made with 30% more rubber than most tires. Not sure if this is true or not..or if it applies to the MTZ's...but I LOVE MINE.

You have to keep in mind all MTZ's are going to be relatively loud, but these are the quietest that I have ever had. ATZ's are going to be quieter because they are more of a street tire than mud terrians. But like you, I love mine too!

Did you get the complete tire, wheel, lift combo from Zone?

No I had my Jeep lifted about six months before I got my wheels and tires. I did not get a combo for the wheels and tires either, I am very picky about wheels and tires so it did not work out lol

I just bought the MTZs, but looked real hard at the KM2s also. Three factors led me to the MTZs - First, the KM2s are on national back order. Two, the MTZs have better siping which equals better wet/snow road traction. That is important to me. And "C" the MTZs have gotten great reviews by all the major off road rags I have read, especially for mud.

However - the KM2s are great tires also - and one of my top choices. the other choice was the newish Goodyear MTR with Kevlar.
