Guys, just wanted to let you know that I searched forums and the web hard for an inexpensive solution to inflate my larger tires on the Jeep... Being that I have 37x12.50 Xtreme MT2's, I need more air than most.
I decided with these larger 37's, I needed CFM! My 6CFM compressor at home still takes a bit to inflate these tires from trail psi to street psi and I don't like to wait!
After a bit of research I almost pulled the trigger on the Smitty 5.65 CFM model and found a thread where owners said it may be very similar to the Tuff Stuff Xtreme Compressor (5.65 CFM model, not the 1.35CFM model).
I found it at a place called Truck and Winch : Tuff Stuff Xtreme 150PSI Portable Off Road Compressor | TruckandWinch.com
They had it on EBay as well for $99 shipped. These guys were awesome to deal with and they shipped this right out and it looks great!
I've only used it a few times so far so I can't yet comment on durability but it is fast and it draws power so be sure to have your Jeep running when using it.
For Reference, I am at 3000 ft / elevation and filled my tire from 16 psi to 37 psi in 3 min, 10 sec. Which is fast if you've never aired up 37's!
So just wanted to share some real world numbers with everyone. If you've got big tires and don't want to spend a ton, it may be the ticket.
