Air pressure - I'd like a base line

I just had a set of 5 KM2's put on my Jeep yesterday morning, and I just got around to buying some chalk to check the air pressure. The sidewall pressure is listed at 50, and the tire monkeys wanted to pump 40 PSI into them when they installed them. I shot them down and told them to go to 32 PSI since that's what my 30's were running. After chalking the tires a few minutes ago, I'm down to 25 PSI. I'm curious if that's a similar number to what other folks are running with the same tire.

A few stats on my rig - Daily Driver, '02 TJ with stock rims and 33-10.5x15 BFG KM2's currently @ 25 PSI. I do run with a Rokmen Mercenary bumper and an 8500 winch.

Thanks

I run 27 PSI in my 35's. I'd run 28-29 in 33's...

Nice rig, nice tires!

Nice Jeep

alot of factors play into psi. Basically start at 30 and play with the chalk.

I've got 35's on a 2 door mounted to a 15x8 rim. I'm running 28psi in all 4. I should go 26 or 25, but I left an inch of chalk on the edges for a little better gas mileage. My JK has a bit more weight, but 25-30 psi sounds good for a TJ on 33's

I'd leave it at 25 and see how the tires look in 3,000 miles.

Looks like my guage was off by a couple pounds. I double checked it with a different guage, and I'm chalked at 29. So at 29 they will stay.

Thanks for the input folks

YOu can draw chalk lines across the tire, then drive it.

it gives you a good understanding of how much contact you are getting....
