I am gonna pull the trigger on the 17 x 8.5 MB TKO's in the next month. I am going to go with the Duratrac 33s also. I am pumped! My current set up has SpiderTrax 1.75" behind the stock 18"s on my JK Unlimited Sahara. I am also doing a TK Level at the same time as the tires. My question is should I go with the -6mm and keep the wheel spacers or should I take them off? Will it be too wide with them on? I could go with the 18mm and leave them on also. Just looking for some advice here. I have read the whole thread and it is great!!

Thanks,
MojoRising

Go with the -6mm and ditch the spacers. They will sit perfect.

Yes you can. I know this because I really like them but the problem with them is the BS. its 3.31 (-30mm) for the 15x8, 5x4.5 bolt pattern. With the BackSpacing it will stick out more then the TkO which Is why Im going with the MB TKOs. The TKO has 3.75 BS. (-19mm). This is what most go with so that they can clear wider tires without sticking out like crazy and needing to put on dumbo ears wheel flairs for road regulations.

I was just looking at Mickey Thompsons web sit and it looks like they have a SideBitter 2 and it seems to have 3,5/8 BS (-22mm)
Im going to have to look into that now....lol.

Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels

I wonder why they came out with a second version?

Great now Im undecided again...lol.

Hey, thanks for that. I look foreward to doing buisness with your company.
Also would you price match from tirerack? There tires seem to be cheaper.
Im looking at putting on 33x10.5r15 BFGoodrich KM2s. Set of 5.

Yes, if Tire Rack has a lower delivered price (unit price + shipping) we'll beat it. Just give us a call 1.888.459.4080.

Hi -

Newb with a question for Discount Tire:

My current setup is a 3" Teraflex lift, and I am running 18" XD Hoss on 295/70/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers... I'm thinking about swapping out these wheels for a set of 17s and either 33s or 35s (33x12.5 or 35x12.5). I currently have no suspension clearance issues and like that my tires do not stick out too far (about an inch max) past my fenders. Can I get wheels with a higher offset (+10, +12 or even +18 like I have) and go 12.5" wide on the tires, or do I really need to go -6 or something like that?

Thanks in advance,
-Eddie

Hi Eddie,

With 12.50" wide tires, you can run a 17x8.5 with 5.2" (ET +10) of backspace or a 17x9 with 5" (ET 0) of backspace. Compared to where your current 18x9 +18 wheels sit now, the 17x8.5 +10 will sit about the same to the outside but you'll have just over 1/2" more clearance to the inside. The 17x9 ET0 will sit about .70" further out and you'll also have .70" more clearance to the inside.

Yes, the 15x8 ET-19 5-5 TKO is what you'll need for your JK. Here's the link...

Wheel Details - Discount Tire Direct

According to the M/T spec sheet, their 15x8 Sidebiter II has a -22mm offset. Please note that the 15x8 Sidebiter II is not produced in the JK 5-5 bolt pattern.

Got my 15x8 MB TKO w/ 33x12.5r15 Duratracs from Discount Tire (Great service and Customer Support!). Have had these on for about a year now, has 22K miles on them and still running great.

Discount Tire, I'm looking to run 37's in the next year. It seems that PitBull Rockers (Radial) are the only 37 that I could find that runs 37x12.5r15, a lot of other tires are running 13.5 or 14.5 which I'm not too confident about on a 8" rim. Thoughts?

Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad to see you are still enjoying your 15" set-up

Yes, tire sizes 37x13.50-15 and 37x14.50-15 are too wide to safely run on an 8" wide wheel. 37" tires are really limited in selection for 15" wheel applications. If you are going to move up to 37's I would consider switching to a 17" combinations.
