are stock Wrangler ST's tough enough?

I recently bought a 2012 Wrangler Unlimited Sport that came with P225/75R16 Wrangler ST tires. They drive quite nice on the road and don't do bad off road. I am concerned that they might be too little tire for much off roading. I don't intend to do any hard core rock climbing but am concerned that it might not take much to blow one out if I'm up in the mountains and catch a sidewall on a rock or something. Am I taking a big risk if I wear 'em out or should I just go get a better tire such as a Goodrich AT KO? Any advice is welcome!

I havent taken the Wrangler ST's through much of anything other than puddles and a dirt driveway LOL... but I had a set of Goodyear Wrangler AT/S and a rock punctured right through the tread. Wasnt even doing any rough offroading, just riding a trail. It was a P rated tire instead of a LT.

I got my '07 a little over a month ago. I have the stock P225/75R16's also. I do a lot of prospecting that takes me back into the mountains. so far they've performed admirably. Although i wouldn't tackle big boulders or any kind of competitive off roading, they take me down rutted fire roads, across washes, through bushes, over smaller rocks, and can cut four pizzas at one time.
